- Strictly adherence to safety and work permit system before complying to work orders
- Condition monitoring of equipment with thermal imaging device Nitron XL5
- Applying non-destructive testing (NDT) methods (ultrasonic test, dye penetrant test, radiographic test) that are used to identify hidden defects in (weldment of pipelines, tank sumps, tank decks and other vessels in the refinery) according to API and ASME code standards
- Conducting tank visual examination for storage of petroleum products to avoid leakage of products by checking thickness of bottom plates, roof decks, pontoons and the tank shells using ultrasonic test
- Monitoring and inspection on mothballed units and plants
- Careful selection of consumables and quality checks on materials procured by the refinery from third parties
- Performing hydrostatic test and pneumatic test on steam boiler, heat exchangers and air coolers to check for leaks
- Using ultrasonic test equipment to measure thickness pipelines
- Performing Radiography test on Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) welded pipeline joints which were fabricated to check for defects in weldment
- Assessing the nozzles and manholes of columns to check the severity of corrosion under Insulation (CUI)
- Load testing of lifting equipment and accessories according to ISO, BS code standards.
