• Performed a variety of sample testing techniques including visual testing, quantitative testing, weight, density and consistency of fungi extracts(Secondary metabolites) for quality control purposes
• Maintained and calibrated equipment such as class II safety cabinet, liquid chromatography machine, HPLC machine, centrifuge, plate incubator and rotary evaporator according to daily testing requirement.
• Performed biological (anti-cancer) assays in the microbiology laboratory.
• Supported technical writing projects using statistical, qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Carried out thorough TLC analysis on fungi extracts and media preparation for E.Coli, candida, pseudomonas, and S-Aureus testing.

I monitored let-down stage in combining resin, solvents, and additives in a large vat and stirring mill-base during this phase.

• Partnered with the technicians to analyse overdue customer accounts and determine fees for late payment.

• Used automated techniques (spectrophotometry and electrophoresis) to measure the concentration of glucose, lipids, enzymes, electrolytes, hormones and proteins, present in the prepared blood samples
• Centrifuge uncoagulated blood to obtain serum used for sodium, chloride and calcium analysis
• Perform liver function and kidney function test using quantum resonance machine

As an intern in the laboratory, I learnt how to:

• Use Spectrometer to determine elements present in waste water

• Find the pH of waste water

• Determine the Chlorine content of waste water

• Collect Samples from sources into the laboratory

• Managed special classes for students with special needs, employing question tags, and outside classroom practical and technology to achieve academic success.
• Built rapports with parents to provide more accurate skills assessments, encouraging parental involvement to accelerate student progress.
• Accurately identified areas of weakness by reviewing past test results and developed tailored learning materials that led to 85% improvement compared to previous test marks.
• Tutored struggling, average and advanced students in basic science and mathematics.
• Organised extra-curricular enrichment activities, such as playing football to inspire creativity.
