  • I serve as a Development Facilitator on the Cocoa Life Project under the Livelihood Enhancement and Family Empowerment Technical Programmes
  • Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate the establishment of food crop Demonstration Farms (Rice, Vegetable, Plantain sucker multiplication, Vegetable seed growers) making farmers resilient to shocks and pandemics
  • Organize community sensitizations on additional sources of livelihood and the Community Savings Concept and facilitate savings group formation and training on VSLA methodology in communities for increased household income from complimentary and additional sources
  • Coordinates and collates MIS data on all existing Village Savings and Loans Associations quarterly
  • Train farmers and Savings Groups in digital savings and digital financial services using DreamSave app
  • Engage farmers, communities and households within project communities to implement improved agricultural practices, strategies and climate adaption techniques for improved food security
  • Support project communities to prepare and adopt Disaster Preparedness plan in anticipation of severe rainfalls leading floods, loss of soil cover and livestock
  • Sensitizes communities on energy efficient cooking stoves from local raw materials to reduce the excessive dependence on firewood by communities
  • Delivers training to Savings producer groups on value addition practices for prioritized value chains (sorting, cleaning, grading, dressing, processing, packaging and labeling)
  • Sensitize women on assertiveness and socio-economic empowerment as well as facilitated their access to cooperatives and markets so as to strengthen women’s voice in project communities to actively participate in decision making process
  • Facilitate community discussions in project communities on reduction of child labour and importance of education, as well as educated farmers on child labour and development

  • It works in Ghana to empower women, children and persons with disabilities to access their rights
