Responsible for the provision of Safety, Health and Environmental support and advice, and for promoting a culture of continuous improvement in safety performance throughout the company
1. Monitor performance against the requirements of Safety, Health and Environmental management plan and the relevant legislation.
2. Liaise with, and assist Managing Director and all Managers in ensuring that a satisfactory level of Safety, Health and Environmental awareness exists.
3. Co-ordinate and supervise the activities of EHS officers
4. Assist the Operations Manager in the development and delivery of suitable Safety, Health and Environmental training programs for the organization
5. Undertake a program of site Safety, Health and Environmental inspections and audits in accordance with this policy.
6. Produce, implement and maintain a safety performance measurement, review and reporting system which comply with both statutory and corporate requirements.
7. Collate and report safety performance data and trends analysis in accordance with this policy.
8. Manage the development, regular review and update of the Safety Management System in order to ensure that it is comprehensive, relevant and up-to-date
9. Be familiar with current Safety, Health and Environmental legislation relevant to Akira’s activities and advise senior management accordingly.
1. Reporting directly to the Municipal Agric Officer (MAO) and
Management Information System Officer (MISO). Assisting the MAO
and MISO with data entry into the official Data Entry program for Ghana Agriculture Production Survey (GAPS) Project.
2. Assisting the MIS with monthly, quarterly and GAPS interim reports.
3. Review and update information and data used in the development of documents, work plans and budgets. Assist in ensuring the collection, collation and analysis of all basic data on agriculture in the municipal.
4. Organize and participate in monthly training for AEAs and the zonal supervisors. Provides administrative support during the event.
5. Maintaining schedules and calendars. Organize for the collection of market price data on agriculture commodities in rural and urban markets.
6. Identify and maintain a register of land marks and municipal agriculture assets. Organize, collect and disseminate prices of farming inputs and labor rates of all farm activities. Supervise, coordinate and monitor the data collection activities of all field staff and supervisors.
7. Analyze reasons and causes of lapses and propose corrective measures. Prepare any other reports which the Municipal Director of Agriculture (MDA) may require from time to time (National Service).
