Educational Philosophy

Mathematics, they say, is a way of life. So as a mathematics teacher I believe that the subject has to be taught in simplicity and to reflect real life experiences. I believe that the purpose of teaching is to equip students with knowledge and skills needed to function in the ever changing world and also to be life-long learners. As a result of this, I take into consideration the learning needs of my students, and support them in their learning which will enable them to discover who they are, develop creative ideas and principles as individuals. As learning is a life-long process, I believe I have as much to learn.
