- Record address of index TB patient and trace all those who had contact with index patient
- Screen all contacts of index TB patient using TB screening tool
- Collect sputum sample of all contacts who meet the criteria for sample collection and transporting to the Gene X-pert site for laboratory examination
- Follow up for laboratory results and give feedback to the suspected TB patient
- Assist any contact who test positive to be put on the TB treatment
- Help to ensure that the contacts that test negative for the TB disease are put on preventive treatment
- Offer counseling services to TB patients and family members
- Compile monthly summary reports which would be endorsed by the facility TB focal person, the district TB coordinator, and the District Health Director
- Send monthly reports through the RedCap app to National level.
