  • To record proper and accurate tally of a container entering the terminal yard
  • To record all details of the containers loaded or discharged such as description, marks / container no., weight, condition of packages, seal no, timing of commencement and completion of operations
  • Receiving and issuing of container interchange receipts to clients
  • Entering data for incoming and outgoing containers, Tallying and keeping track of loaded, offloaded, discharged and evacuated containers coming in and out of the terminal
  • Maintaining and updating database of containers and other related activities in the terminal
  • Inspection and correspondence of container serial numbers on containers to clients document to ensure right containers are delivered to the respective clients
  • Booking appointment for vehicles to ascertain the actual condition of a vehicle when it arrives at Meridian Port Services
  • Booking and co-coordinating deliveries of containers arriving at or leaving depots
  • Liasing with drivers regarding their container requirements Entering information regarding deliveries and other logistical matters on computer systems
  • Ensuring health and safety requirements are met
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong team working skills which involves liaison with drivers, customers, container terminal / staff and colleagues
