  • Wrote grant application leading to ₵10,000 award, which led to the organization of the 1st African School for Deaf Studies (ASDS) held in Ghana from the 1st – 14th August 2019 (https://deafstudies.weblog.leidenuniv.nl/asds-ghana-2019/)
  • Successfully founded and established the "Centre for Sign Language and Deaf Literacy" in Ghana, dedicated to advancing the recognition and empowerment of Deaf individuals and the promotion of sign language (https://csldl.org).
  • Pioneering and spearheading the "This Time for Africa Lecture Series" to foster a deeper understanding of African languages, cultures, and societies among students and academics. At Leiden University, Centre for Linguistics from 2018 - 2022
  • Collaborated with investigators at Leiden University to make a breakthrough in creating a newly developed automated tool named DistSign to quantify variation in sign languages.
