A dedicated Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist with nearly a decade of experience in Hematology, Microbiology, Chemical Pathology, Immunology, Histopathology, Public Health, advanced malaria diagnostics, microscopy quality assurance, and clinical laboratory leadership. WHO Level-2 Certified Malaria Microscopist (1 of 3 in Ashanti Region, and 1 of 32 in Ghana) with proven excellence in malaria parasite detection, speciation, quantification, and diagnostic quality assurance. Strong technical leader in laboratory services, experienced in workflow optimization, staff supervision, accreditation readiness, and clinical diagnostic accuracy at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), Ghana’s second-leading tertiary hospital.
1. Implemented and monitored the Haematology Unit’s Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 15189 standards.

As my MPH thesis, I am conducting a retrospective study investigating the association
between Plasmodium falciparum parasite density and platelet count. This involves data
collection, and statistical analysis.
• My BSc thesis was on the morphometric analysis of the earlobe in relation to the length and
print pattern of the index finger. I gained experience in biometric measurement, data
analysis and scientific reporting.
• As a WHO-Certified Malaria Microscopist, I partook in a national survey investigating HRP-2
gene deletion in Plasmodium falciparum. I supervised microscopy among the recruited
health facilities and reported to Ghana Health Service on my findings.
• Currently, I am part of a team of researchers from KNUST, KATH, KCCR and Technical
University of Munich, conducting a study on “Chronic Infections in Pregnancy and Colorectal
Cancer”
