I have a High School Diploma in Science, a Bachelor's degree in Primary Education and a Masters degree in Education in Higher Education. I have been teaching for twelve years. I am currently a grade one teacher and also the Head of Department for Lower Primary. This is my sixth year as the Head of Department. During my under graduate studies, as part of my course work, I was made to teach a child with special needs and submit report on the academic progress of the child. Major to minor details like the diet, birth conditions etc was included in the report This made more circumspect when it came to teaching children because overlooking certain details might make you make poor judgement when it comes to teaching and learning.
Experience gathered from teaching many curricula and students at many grade levels has deepened my passion and love for teaching. I also had the opportunity to take part in many seminars and also upgrade my skills by myself by enrolling in online courses I have certificates in
Teaching Methodology and Lesson Plans.
Outstanding Teaching ,First Aid -CPR Training etc .
Interactions with parents and students had also been very beneficial to me. I have learnt a lot throughout the years. Constant feedback to parents about their wards academic performance and behaviour always keeps you on your toes and make you more observant .
Being a Head of Department has exposed me to the different facets of Education. I can perform administrative roles as well as teaching roles simultaneously.
I am currently the patron for the Red Cross Club and Needlework, Crotchet and Beading Club. My love for sports so evident that I was appointed the Housemistress of the Green House in my current workplace.
My motto in life is 'Life is a journey , it is up to you to make the most of it ' .
