- Responsible for efficient and effective operation of the Can Making Department, including Maintenance of Machinery such as CanMan welders (CM16 and CMX1), Comaco Seamers, FMI Seamer, FMI Beader, FMI Flanger, FMI Separator, Palletizer, Cepak slitter, etc.
• Lead Canline team to undertake various services in repair, modification, and troubleshooting of various seam and weld defects on (2.2kg) 155 mm Diameter Can Line and (400g/210g)
73 mm Diameter Can line.
• Led the team to carry out equipment changeovers from Slitter, Body maker (Welder), Flanger, and Seamer to different Can Diameters or SKUs per production Plan.
• Carryout Tinplate trials from old and new vendors (Huayi from China, Petit from Italy, and Dongbu from Korea. Etc.) And give recommendations to Local and external procurement teams.
• Repair seaming and welding issues such as low/high body hook, low/high Cover hook, Low / High Seam height, Poor weld, Welder Jams, Poor beading, Poor Flanging, etc.
• Performs multiple testing procedures and measurements on seaming and welding of Can bodies in the evaluation process.
• Manage Department CAPEX budget (Within Cost and Time)
• Ensure departmental KPIs (Safety, OEE, and KAIZAN) are achieved and gaps identified for corrective action.
• Maintain, service, and overhaul universal pack (Tomato Sachet filling machine) model 2009,2011,2015,2018. Etc.
• Ensure machinery availability and reliability through effective implementation of preventive & predictive maintenance strategy. (Predictive maintenance tools such as vibration analyzer, and thermal imaging camera to detect and diagnose issues)
• Prepare monthly Pareto reports on factory downtime, MTTR, and MTBR and capture breakdowns into S.A.P (System Application Product).
• Review MRP maximum and minimum spare parts stock levels and reorder materials accordingly.
• Performs all daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance PM's
• Effectively train lower classed trainees, helpers, and other assigned employees
• Prepares and updates reports and records concerning production, quality, efficiency, and maintenance activities.
