- Description: This research seeks to design and construct an active solar food dryer for domestic food preservation
- The solar drying system utilizes solar energy to heat up air to dry foodstuff as a means of preserving agricultural product
- The study concluded that with the use of active solar food dryer, designed and constructed in this research is expected to dry 0.25kg fresh okro from 52% to 6.3% wet basis in two days under ambient conditions, as compared to open sun drying
