Ward (Out Patient Department)

• Attends training sessions to ensure quality skills to provide quality nursing care.
• Under the direction of the duty Staff Nurse, coordinate and supervise a team of nursing aids.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment at all times.
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies to ensure supplies are always sufficient.
• Assist in the administration of medication and perform simple wound dressings.
• Other duties as assigned by the Nurses Manager.
• Coaching new enrolled nurses, Nursing student and support care style.
• Responsible for the admission and orientation of new posted staffs.

Male Medical Ward ( Senior Enrolled Nurse)

• Nursing management and administration duties
• Supervising and training newly recruited staff and national service personnel.
• Undertake assessment, planning and implementation of interventions for addressing patient care problems.
• Evaluate patient responses to interventions and modify plans as needed.
• Undertake and demonstrate nursing takes in the best interest of patient care and professional standards. These includes:
• Read reports and take note of critical cases, do chart rounds and ensure treatment has been given.
• Maintaining hygienic and safe working environment in compliance with the healthcare procedures.
• Participate in the ward rounds.
• Assist with manual handling and transferring of patients in compliance with the hospital policy.
• maintain a safe and therapeutic patient care environment.
• Undertake the last offices for deceased patients and give relevant information to relatives/caretakers
• Advise on the promotion of health and prevention of illness, teaching patients and their relatives where appropriate.
• Assist the Ward manager/Unit In-Charge in promoting the right of patients/clients and maintaining the privacy and dignity of clients/patients and staff.
• Perform other official duties assigned bt the Ward Manager/Unit In-Charge.
• Monitoring changes in patient's condition and notifying the doctor right away.
• Accurate documentation of all patient medical history, contact information, current condition and medications, and treatment as well as update their medical record throughout their stay in the E.R

Paediatric Ward

• Check in child patients, evaluating their symptoms and checking their vital signs.
• Complete diagnostic tests.
• Administer medications or minor procedures.
• Create a treatment plan or coordinate follow-up medical care.
• Educate family members on treatment options.
