A water quality assurance officer is responsible for ensuring that water that is to be delivered to consumers meet the established standards set by the Ghana Water Company and the World Health Organization.

My roles were to create,implement and investigate water quality standards to ensure they do not fall below the acceptable limits set by the Water Company and the World Health Organization.
I carry out test for physical and chemical water quality parameters to ensure the water is potable.
I report breaches in workplace safety requirements, troubleshoot laboratory test equipment and report on related faults.
I perform data entry for laboratory test results, prepare documents for procurement of laboratory supplies while following approved guidelines.
I carry out scheduled calibration of laboratory instruments, apparatus and equipment.
