I am a registered midwife with 5 years of postgraduate experience, with a track record of delivering quality and excellent patient-centered care across various clinical and communal establishments. My hard-working and distinctive approach to work has rewarded me with receiving accolades and recommendations as well as the opportunity to play the role of head midwife in my current department.
I have a flexible working approach hence, I can work on any schedule including weekends, holidays, evenings, and even on short notice in case of staff shortage.

Because of my total commitment, discipline, and exceptional ability to work, during annual staff reshuffling, I was allowed to head a new Kangaroo Mother Care(KMC) unit in the NICU, providing services ranging from the admission of preterm babies, assessing their needs, planning care and growth monitoring to facilitate easy discharge. Through evidence-based initiatives, we have had about 80% more successful stories of the survival of premature neonates than ever before.

Working as a staff midwife in the recovery unit was an interesting exposure as this helped develop my leadership and teamwork skills. Tasked with the role of student preceptor, I took responsibility for assisting students, junior colleagues, and health assistants in orientation, supervising their daily duties as well as being accountable for delegating appropriately.

2. Monitoring of vital signs to detect deviation from normal

4. Resuscitation of asphyxiated babies
