Accomplishments
Lead the implementation of Expatriates Global mobility in Central and Western Africa:
The GM project was initiated to update Nestle’s current Host Based approach of handling global assignees to the Home-Based approach which is becoming industry practice. This required a lot of data gathering from the region, process and policy comparison events and the training of country single points of contacts on the new policy.
- Housing Allowance and Utility review and rollout;
Angola, Nigeria, Burkina Faso Housing and Utility data was gathered, analyzed and reviewed. Closely working with country contacts ensured a proposal which reflected country conditions and was also cost effective.
- Recognition Policy for Central and Western Africa:
We wanted a standardized program and policy for employee Recognition and Rewards in the region. Country inputs was key. We set up a focus group to analyze employee expectations thus helping to develop a framework that should support employee recognition in the region.
- Data Quality Dashboard
A Power BI dashboard that helped to communicate the data quality status of all countries and highlighting issues needed to be resolved to a smooth compensation cycle with no error in payments.
Systems (SAP) configurations and testing.
Essential to ensuring the main technology (SAP) for most Nestlé’s HR PY processes are configured and works well according to global and local acceptable standards, periodic system checks and developments are carried out e.g. New Tax schedules etc
Conducted HR Functional Compliance Audit
To ensure that controls set in the processes are strictly adhered to, periodic functional audit is carried out. This requires the Auditor to master the control documents of each stream in the function and understand the process.
Gaps and derived actions from previous Audits are reviewed and accessed for adherence.
Deployment of Swift payment system and integration with SAP
To eliminate the risk associated with generating bank payment files which are in editable formats (text formats), I took up the project to work with all stakeholders involved for salary transfers to be done by Swift. With this process, payment is sent to the banks directly immediately it is processed in SAP in encrypted formats.
