• Reports to the Terminal Manager Assist the Terminal Manager to establish a management plan including financial budget for the efficient running of the Terminals
• Ensure compliance and adherence to company policies, operating procedures, health and safety standards and statutory requirements under the direction of the Terminal Manager
• Take custodial responsibility for all assets (stocks, equipment, cash etc) in the Takoradi Terminal
• Review daily and monthly stock reports
• Ensure that loss analysis is promptly done and explanations for variations given to the Terminal Manager and Top management
• Ensure prompt investigations are done and corrective actions taken on losses above approved limits
• Assist the Terminal manager to ensure a high state of plant and equipment maintenance regime to guarantee uninterrupted service and equipment compliance with product measurement integrity
• Maintain a high standard of customer and public relations on behalf of the Terminal Manager
• Ensure that OMC's and bunkering contracts are correctly implemented Ensure operating expenses are within approved budget and that value is maximized in all areas of expense
• Liaise with industry, community, and other stakeholders in coordination of emergency response and preparedness in the absence of the Terminal Manager
• Responsible for supervision, coaching and mentoring to ensure a high level of employee motivation and performance under the direction of the Terminal Manager
• In liaison with HR and the Terminal Manager, manage Terminal staff annual leave, training, and development needs.

▪ Conducts safety inspection of environment prior to Bunkering and petroleum cargo discharge from ships
▪ Ensure vessel is safely moored for all discharge and loading operations
▪ Supervises proper connection of cargo hose as well as proper positioning of flow meter and filter vessel prior to Bunkering operations from shore
▪ Ensure proper valve line ups and check correct orientation
▪ Ensures proper communication is established with ship and terminal
▪ Conducts ululating/sounding of both ship's tanks and terminal tanks prior to loading and discharging
▪ Supervises the product transfer process or operation and ensure safe operation
▪ Carries out all documentation associated to the operation
