Responsibilities:

• Inspected and ensured that over 50 casual workers complied with the sanitation standards before entering the production floor.
• Prepared the laboratory for daily operations through the organization, cleaning, and sterilization of equipment and workstations, which improved lab safety and efficiency.
• Assessed physicochemical parameters, including sugar content (Brix), consistency, pH, color, and total solids of tomato samples at every stage of production to verify compliance with standards.
• Maintained and calibrated laboratory equipment, including the glucose refractometer, consistometer, pH meter, spectrophotometer, and moisture analyzer, before every shift, reducing measurement inaccuracies by 20%.
• Recorded daily results using MS Excel for inclusion in the laboratory report, for accurate record-keeping, and enhancing the general efficiency of laboratory operations.
• Monitored the level of water pH and chlorine concentration in cooling tunnels two times each day for effective disinfection of tomato products, contributing to quality control measures and product safety.

• Trained on the procedures for preparing tissue culture, ensuring proper management of the laboratory, taking accurate measurements, collecting samples, and performing laboratory tests.
