Accomplishments

i. Through effective monitoring and supervision, lecturers’ absenteeism for class and PBL sessions have been reduced.

ii. Promotional delays of senior members at the school level which used to be a problem in SMS has been reduced.

iii. Through effective management of financial resources, SMS has been able to complete its administrative and research block with IGF, a project that had been abandoned for 10 years.

iv. With maximization of resources for capital generation, SMS has been able to increase its student numbers from 70 students per year to 120 students per year through decisive management. Currently we have received 140 students quota per year from Medical and Dental Council (MDC)

v. Institutionalizing annual workshop for academic planning and teaching for senior members to ensure effective teaching and supervision of students.

vi. Contributing to the development of MPhil/PhD Molecular Medicine with Pathology track curriculum which is at GTEC for accreditation.
