• When I worked with Baron Healthcare, a deadline delivery situation valued more than thousands of millions to my company and the manager, thus, if we could deliver. I had reported to work only a weeklong. All long vehicles in good conditions that could hauled the goods had been driven out on different journey. Except for one truck, that all the drivers had rejected, because it was not to be trusted for making long journey- in fact, it was waiting maintenance; bad lighting that would make night traveling 100 percent impossible; manual gearbox system with shifting problems and unreliable tires. When I determined I could deliver the goods with that old faulty truck, the idea did not only sound impossible to my boss, but dangerous. After many attempts to convince the boss, he finally gave approval to use that truck. The journey was not without challenges but what blew the managers expectation was when decision and loading was made rather too late, we set off late and night caught us on the way. On the way, the team propose we could not drive with such headlights and that we needed to parked for the safety of our lives and loose the millions. I however calm my team down, assuring them of being able to drive through. I developed a strategy. I found a very great medium size truck with very good head lighting, behind me. I signalled the driver to pass by our truck, and then to everyone's surprise I began to follow the truck in a very good distance, keeping a reasonable pace. Thus, following the truck and using it as our eyes, we drove several miles for very long hours to reach the next city to deliver the good at the downing of the day. My colleague were quiet baffled, as some slept on the way but they wake up to see we have arrived safely. That month alone my team made a triple value of sales, which they have not seen for the past years. My employer found much trust in me since then. I was an asset to my company.
