Tank Farm Operations, Stocks and Quality Control, Engineering and Reliability, and product loading procedures. Where I learned a lot of skills, including,
Tank Farm Operations:
1. Product gauging: The heights of the products in the tanks are measured every morning, in the evening, and also before and after any operation, like inter-tank product mobility.
2. Product receipt: Aligning the pipes in the tank farm and communicating with GPMS and the loading master offshore for safe cargo transfer from the vessel at the CBM to the tank farm.
3. Inter-tank product mobility: Aligning the pipes in the farm to ensure safe transfer from one tank to the required other tank.
4. Asset inspections: An hourly checklist is conducted on pumps, valves, manometers, and pressure relief valves in the tank farm.
5. Product dying; - I assist in introducing dye product to the gasoline white product received from the CBM as stipulated by the National Petroleum Authority
6. Product sampling: Some of the product is fetched using a sampling can for laboratory purposes, as requested by the BDCs and OMCs.
Stocks and quality control.
1. Physical stocks taking.
2. Calibration chart reading.
Engineering and Reliability.
1. Pump troubleshooting.
2. Replacing faulty pumps.
3. Integrity test: Routine checks on equipment and tools to determine if they are in good working condition and safe for operation.
4. Pump servicing.
5.
Product Loading Procedures.
1. Accuload 3-meter manipulation.
2. BRV dips.
