  • Maintaining the biblical integrity of the fellowship, and keeping it true to its doctrinal basis, making sure it is run according to biblical principles.
  • Assisting the Governing Council in policy formulation and decision-making and responsible for putting council decisions into effect.
  • Guiding and motivating the Students National Executive Committee towards responsible student leadership.
  • Provides leadership for the fellowship to inspire, motivate, challenge, warn, correct and unite staff and members of the fellowship in the pursuit of the vision of GHAFES.
  • Gives leadership to the individual staff and various staff teams through clear direction, strong pastoral care, effective performance management so that the individual motivation will be sustained and the organization performance level will continue to rise.
  • Makes recommendations to the Governing Council on policy development.
  • Plans for present and future staff needs.
  • Plans (in collaboration with the Management Committee) for pioneering work and expansion of the fellowship.
  • Leads, coordinate the annual strategic planning and implementation process so that the Movement will operate with clear strategic direction and priorities.
  • Builds integrated programmes of the work and relevant projects in the areas of evangelism, discipleship, mission and leadership development of both students and associates in order to ensure the Movement’s core mission and strategy are delivered effectively.
  • Sets up monitoring and evaluation of the organization outputs as well as the organization health to ensure the Movement is both capable and able with its internal working to face the challenges of the future.
  • Serves as the Secretary to the Governing Council and responsible for the preparation of agenda (in consultation with the Council Chairman), reports and minutes for the Council meetings.
  • Provides regular briefing and information to the Governing Council.
  • Keeps in close contact with the Council Chairman and seeks to inform him/her of developments that are of strategic importance to the fellowship.
  • Gives relevant support and information to the Governing Council to ensure the governance body are well served.
  • Leads and guides the staff in fulfilling the vision and goals of the fellowship.
  • Recommends to the Council those to be appointed as Senior staff. Encourages, pastors, and supervises staff; keeps in touch with their views, aspirations and difficulties.
  • Responsible for the welfare and effective directing of the staff team.
  • Responsible for the orientation and training of new staff.
  • Chairs Management Committee.
  • Builds a vibrant graduate ministry portfolio so that the Movement can have continued input in the spiritual growth of the graduates as well as able to mobilize them to become partners to the Movement’s programme ministry as well as its financial need.
  • Represents GHAFES in dealings with the local and foreign organizations as well as other sister fellowships and movements.
  • Promotes the fellowship and ensures that all publications further the work and reflect the Aims and Objectives of the Fellowship.
  • Is the custodian of the documents, the seal, and the assets of the Fellowship on behalf of the Board of Trustees/ Governing Council.
  • Serves as the Chief Planning Officer of the fellowship and is responsible for effective coordination of the financial affairs of the fellowship.
  • Has joint responsibility with the Council Chairman and National Treasurer for the raising of adequate income for the ministry activities and business of the fellowship.
  • Ensures the preparation of the annual budget and control expenses.
  • Is accountable for all transactions by the fellowship and is an overseer of its assets.
  • Raises the necessary funds and other form of resources to support the work of the Movement in a sustainable way; and oversees the effective deployment and management of the Movement’s resources.
  • Overseeing the effective planning and execution of all national programme in collaboration with the Management Committee, the Students National Executive Committee, and the staff team.

  • As a member of the National Senior Leadership/Management Team (NSLT) of GHAFES, I provided support to the National Director in the implementation of the Strategic Plan including: implementation of new organogram, development of new job description for programme staff, developing reporting formats, and assessment tools for programme department staff; conducting stakeholder meetings to promote understanding of new plan and structure.
