  • Implementation of new projects, facility modification and comment on the concept design phase through the detailed design phase including design review to fabrication and installation of the facilities as well as start-up of the new installation/facilities.
  • Responsible for supervising large group of professionals and non-professionals or small group of specialized engineers or as a highly specialized maintenance/ technical engineer in servicing heavy industrial equipment's.
  • Responsible to protect own health and safety by working in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures.
  • Plan and develop projects for new and improved facilities and processes.
  • Provide leadership and coordination of planned maintenance shutdowns.
  • Checking of all connections to the pumps (centrifugal, positive displacement pumps. brands worked on are Grundfos, pioneer, nova rotors, Milton roy and sandpipers).
  • Checking of correct alignment of pump coupling by using dial gauge.
  • Making sure foundation bolt is well secured to prevent pump from vibrations.
  • Making sure valves are opened on time as command comes from plc.
  • Checks for free opening and closing of valves no restriction from flanges and stubs.
  • Follows all commissioning procedures as specified by manufacturer.
  • ENSURING THE MAINTENACE SUPERVISOR FOLLOWS TASK BELOW ON ALL PROCESS EQUIPMENTS AS SCHEDULED.
  • Developing daily, monthly, annual and half annual maintenance procedures as specified by manufacturer.
  • Checking motors temperatures by using infra-red thermometers.
  • Checking of correct oil level in equipment that uses oil.
  • Pump overhauling (Grundfos, pioneer and nova rotors).
  • Greasing of bearings to prevent over heating.
  • Changing of mechanical seal, parking glands for pumps.
  • Replacing impellers if they are worn out.
