Cases Handled: Severe Burns Injuries, Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA), ACUTE

Respiratory Syndrome, Traumatic Multiple Fracture, Pneumothorax, CVA, Asthmatic

attack, Gastroenteritis, Acute Abdomen, Chest Trauma, Empyema, Increased

Intracranial Pressure, Pulmonary Embolism.

Core Responsibilities:

• Managed basic life support needs and stabilizes patients until the attending

physician is available, based upon nursing standards and protocols.

• Set up intranasal oxygen as prescribed to patients who experienced acute

respiratory distress and other respiratory tract diseases.

• Recorded patients’ current vital signs.

• Prepared and administered both enteral and parenteral route medications and

monitored for adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance

with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed

registered nurse.

• Provided IV fluids therapy

• Cleaned and bandaged wounds.

Cardiovascular (left and right heart failure, congestive heart failure), endocrine

(diabetes mellitus, DKA management, hyperthyroidism), renal (urinary tract infection,

chronic kidney disease), hematology (anemia, Sickle Cell Disease), digestive

(pancreatitis, peptic ulcer, cirrhosis, hepatitis), muscular (skin traction care),

neurological (meningitis, stroke, seizure,), Respiratory (pneumonia, pneumothorax,

asthma, emphysema, respiratory failure,)

• Built caring, compassionate relationships with patients, providing emotional

support and encouragement in nursing patients.
