Working in this clinic as a Midwife, it was my duty to attend to women in labor
I had to ensure that all women in my care were kept safe and their babies delivered without any problems
I ensured that mothers were educated about child bearing, delivery and child caring
Giving them sex education to create awareness about pre and postnatal diseases
Evaluated patients, recognized and addressed complications and coordinated treatment with other members of critical care team
Working in this bigger facility as a Midwife, it is my responsibility to ensure that mothers have a sound delivery devoid of still child birth
I also educate mothers-to-be about healthy ways of living to ensure a successful delivery of child
I have the opportunity of assisting surgeons conduct caesarean session at the theatre as a

Provided patient and family health education focusing on self-management, prevention and wellness
Monitored patients after surgery, answered questions and provided home care strategies
Maintained personal and team compliance with medication administration standards and patient care best practices
Counseled patients and caregivers, providing emotional, psychological and spiritual support
Collaborated with doctors to plan post-treatment home care and prevent return hospitalization
Collected and documented vital signs to track current patient conditions
Read physician orders and administered therapies, treatments and medications
Communicated concerns regarding patient’s status, care and environment to nursing supervisors, clinical care supervisors and case managers
Reviewed physician orders and participated in medication management to optimize patient safety
Observed nurse administration of oral, intramuscular and IV medications to patients as prescribed, monitoring responses for adverse reactions
Assessed and prepared patients for procedures, performing initial and ongoing patient assessments
Collected lab specimens, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and lab results
Recorded patient condition, vital signs, recovery progress and medication side effects.
