Summary

An Agribusiness enthusiast with Post-Harvest Technology training from an Agricultural Technology background, and over fourteen years of invaluable managerial experience working in the Private sector. He is currently the owner of Lasorex - a fast growing agro-based business with international ambitions, which seeks to revolutionize the development of smallholder farmer units and integrate them into commercial entities achieved by employing modern practices and technology thereby increasing their productivity and profitability along the entire value chain.

His involvement has been key in the support, design, development and execution of sponsored research in malaria control, using the Indoor Residual Spraying technique, which has produced significant results in reducing malaria case load and used with success to control malaria in many parts of Ghana. He has been momentous in national surveys to get credible data for the control of malaria in Ghana,

Edem consulted for organizations such as the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), where he contributed to an assessment to ascertain the problems limiting collective action in Ghanaian Farmer Based Organizations (FBO's). He conducted an academic research work on mycotoxin contamination in maize, has helped him appreciate that, development led by agriculture will best be achieved through innate collaboration with the health sector through a multidisciplinary approach.

Edem's experience in the agribusiness space earned him slots to speak, attend and organize youth entrepreneur events to share his successes and lessons learned to to young entrepreneurs engaged start-up business also earned him slots to attend, speak and organize youth entrepreneurial events. He has designed, developed and executed business models that offer solutions to diverse levels of complex value chain challenges together with farmers (small, medium and large) within Lasorex's network of over 2,000 farmers.

Edem is a team player, highly focused, analytical, knowledgeable in project management and possesses excellent writing and oral communication skills. He has a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of enterprise content management

(ECM), report writing and presentation skills . He exhibits excellent human relations, ability andwillingness to travel extensively including traveling to rural areas. He exhibits the experience and ability to work under little supervision, with high sense of commitment to duty and work schedules and ability to work under difficult circumstances.

Edem Holds an MPhil. Degree in Post-harvest Technology, a BSc. degree in Agricultural Technology (specialize in Mechanization and Irrigation Technology) and certificates in Agribusiness, Climate-smart Agricultural Technology for Smallholder Farmer Productivity and Profitability increase, Project Management, Financial Management, Internet Marketing, Conflict Management and Basic Robot Programming and Simulation.
