  • The main functions and job schedules as a credit officer are to manage commercial and agric loans through efficient and effective credit appraisal, reporting and monitoring to ensure the overall quality of branch’s funded projects and customers performance
  • Conduct credit appraisal of new project applications and prepare reports and related documentation and submit to Head office for approval-SSBF loans
  • Visit and inspect project or customers’ business site before the loan application is considered
  • Consistently monitor projects after loan approval
  • Always ensures that customers produce and complete all documents required by the bank before disbursements are executed
  • Monitor all on-going projects and activities in respect of corporate customers and regularly inspect to ensure compliance and adherence to the bank’s credit facility policies
  • Consistently liaise with Collections Unit to monitor performance with regards to repayment and strategies in minimizing defaulting and delinquent loans rate
  • Offers sufficient advice to customers in respect of financial management before personal loans are granted in order to minimize the rate of default
  • A lead member of the branch’s sales plan
  • Lead team members on credit related issues during morning briefings and whenever the need arises
