Demonstrating excellent communication skills while interacting with patients, families, physicians, and other health professionals.
Administering medications as per physician orders for patients. Managing the patient's medical requirements.
Providing encouragement and comfort to patients during my duties to yield successful healthcare delivery and also to win their trust.
Assessing working environments to ensure cleanliness, safety, and availability of appropriate supplies.
Also, providing education and support to the patients on their condition on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Infection prevention measures such as proper hand washing wearing protective clothing and decontamination.
Neonatal care such as resuscitation and glucose monitoring
Assisting patients in feeding according to their Nutritional needs and preferences
Keeping records of patient data using the hospital computer systems.
Assist patients in meeting their hygiene needs and personal care
Patients toileting needs, ensuring privacy & dignity is maintained
Assisting in the prevention of pressure sore development
Obtaining specimens for ward/laboratory testing
Escorting patients to other departments
Recognise & escalate changes in patients condition to Doctors
Assist new parents in infant feeding techniques and breastfeeding management.
Monitoring patients' vital signs and recording observations
Cleaning patients beds and lockers /bed making
Dressing of simple wounds
Stocking up supplies and reporting faulty equipments.
Collection of blood products for transfusion
Safe disposal of clinical waste and sharps
Actively participated in team meetings regarding patient outcomes and quality improvement initiatives.
Delivered direct nursing care while following established policies, procedures, and protocols.
