Outline: The UGMSA Welfare Fund Committee is a team of eight (8) carefully selected students tasked with the responsibility of acquiring funds to support financially challenged students in their tuition and accommodation.

Responsibilities:

• Assisted in the establishment of a legal document to guide the operations of the committee
• Collaborated with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
• Maintained a library of materials used in publicity of the committee
• Organized fund raising events
• Engaged in professional networking with stakeholders to strengthen relations
• Studied objectives and needs of the committee to develop public relations strategies influencing public opinion or promoting ideas.
• Drafted press releases detailing relevant newsworthy information.

Key Achievements:

In the past year, the Welfare Fund was able to raise Ghs 300,000 to support over 30 students in the medical school. This achievement is due to teamwork and effective publicity.
