  • Review completed application forms and the requisite documents accompanying mineral rights applications (New applications, renewals/extensions,etc.)
  • Enter precisely the form data into the MCAS and issue application Certificate to applicants.
  • Generate order to pay for processing fee and ask applicant to make payment before registering GIS coordinates.
  • Plot coordinates provided by applicants after Registration is completed on MCAS.
  • Prompt the officer responsible for spatial validation to plot the provisional polygon of corresponding application of the MCAS.
  • Update mineral title database with details of Mineral right both large scale and small scale mining licenses.
  • Update application status and follow MCAS procedure.
  • Ensure the credibility of the data in the MCAS
  • Review work programmes accompanying Mineral right application (Exploration License)
  • Respond to enquiries and searches from the general public.
  • Brief clients of the Commission on the procedures for acquiring mineral rights.
  • Prepare brief status report (chronology of events) on Companies etc. for discussion and decision making
  • Draft responses to request/inquiries from government agencies and other stakeholders
  • Assist in resolving boundary demarcation issues.
  • Prepare monthly and annual reports on MCAS and submit to supervisor
  • Perform any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.
