• Acting Supply Chain Manager.
• Managed and optimized inventory of value circa USD 55 M during the transitioning from a brownfield project phase (ORP) into Operations.
• Led the establishment of the necessary materials planning processes and practices including the CIR, Cataloging/Coding of new materials (Excess of 23,000 line items) using Pilog’s Infinity integration with SAP MM, materials engineering, and stock replenishment procedures as part of operations readiness for the Obuasi Redevelopment Project (ORP).
• Supervised the execution of weekly MRP runs in SAP MM, generation of planned orders as a precursor for stock replenishments.
• Led and supported the establishment of inventory optimization and strategic sourcing initiatives (i.e VMI, Consignment stocking, etc) to reduce inventory holding while improving working capital management.
• Provided unequivocal materials planning and control data to enable the quarterly updates of
the rolling 18-month plan to be produced on time.
• Developed the annual Materials Planning cost center budget to achieve the required targets
for achieving annual, medium-term, and Life of Mine (LoM) business plans.
