I am an enthusiastic Certified Supply Chain Professional with demonstrated leadership and extensive Supply Chain Management working knowledge and skills in the Mining and Oil & Gas industries. Coming from a strong Operations background, as a Process Chemist, Daniel is not only committed to health, safety and environment but also adept at the use and application of continuous improvements (CI) tools in solving problems. • Acting Supply Chain Manager.
• Managed and optimized inventory of value circa USD 55 M during the transitioning from a brownfield project phase (ORP) into Operations.
• Led the establishment of the necessary materials planning processes and practices including the CIR, Cataloging/Coding of new materials (Excess of 23,000 line items) using Pilog’s Infinity integration with SAP MM, materials engineering, and stock replenishment procedures as part of operations readiness for the Obuasi Redevelopment Project (ORP).
• Supervised the execution of weekly MRP runs in SAP MM, generation of planned orders as a precursor for stock replenishments.
• Led and supported the establishment of inventory optimization and strategic sourcing initiatives (i.e VMI, Consignment stocking, etc) to reduce inventory holding while improving working capital management.
• Provided unequivocal materials planning and control data to enable the quarterly updates of
the rolling 18-month plan to be produced on time.
• Developed the annual Materials Planning cost center budget to achieve the required targets
for achieving annual, medium-term, and Life of Mine (LoM) business plans.
• Delivered the work of the Materials Planning function within approved budget targets and
specified timeframes, costs, and while achieving targeted service levels and other KPIs.
• Demonstrated Safety Leadership and improved Safety culture across the Materials Planning
function and extended to the entire Supply Chain team.
• Rigorously drove the implementation of projects and nurtured and sustained a culture of
accountability and continuous improvement within the Supply Chain team.
• Led the establishment of a supply chain Control Tower (SSOT) for managing key supply chain initiatives ( Resourcing mine for projects/operations through ANSI/ANCI,etc) to provide SC visibility for key stakeholders (i.e Mining, Engineering, Processing for both ops/project teams)
• Planned material requirements for the Early Phase Gas Infrastructure Green-field Project (EPCC) and executed against O&M and EHS planning philosophies to ensure material availability.
• Led the execution of Ghana Gas’ Warehouse Infrastructure and facilities development project and subsequent Operations Readiness activities to transition from project into operations.
• Led the established and maintenance of a robust inventory database and catalogue/coding system.
• Played a key role in the development and review of the Inventory Module functional requirements for the development of the company’s ERP System (Microsoft Dynamics AX).
• Built and maintained database, scope, and vendor warranty agreements and obligations for EPCC and vendor/OEM. Establish claim and replacement procedures for all warranty contracts.
• Provided statistical forecast of critical and non-critical classification of materials to end-users for making appropriate business decisions.
• Managed Ghana Gas warehouse operations.
