GhiLMIS Lite Project Lead and Public Health Subject Matter Expertise

  • Led the design and implementation of the GhiLMIS Lite project
  • Led the inception phase of the project by developing the scope, the project charter, the project plan, the project communication, the project cost plans, leading the successful kick-off meeting which provided the needed understanding and benefits of the project and leading the validation of already gathered requirement to ensure that all stakeholders are satisfied
  • Worked with the vendor in the elaboration phase to ensure that the system is configured to meet the requirements of the stakeholders
  • I also ensured that all internal and user acceptance testing is done before the system is rolled out
  • Designed the implementation (Roll Out) Plan which covers roll out to over 3500 sites across Ghana
  • (yet to be implemented) Designed the sustainability plan for the project

  • Played an integral part in the design, development, and implementation of various technical approaches to improving public health supply chain challenges at the national and regional levels such as the implementation of Last Mile Distribution using 3PLs
  • Developed the framework for successful implementation of LMD in the country using the Third-Party Logistics Provider (3PL) approach and provided the needed technical resources including tools and materials for LMD implementation in the country
  • Led in developing and disseminating system reports and analytics for stakeholders at different levels of the chain while using the Ghana Integrated Logistics Management System to monitor supply chain indicators for the various RMSs for decision-making while providing continuous configuration of the system to meet stakeholder and end-user needs ensuring the system was always working
  • Supported the LMIS advisor implementation of the LMIS in addressing Ghana Supply Chain issues
  • Played a key role in the configuration of the Ghana Integrated Logistics System for use in the distribution of Covid-19 items and supported the distribution of Covid-19 commodities to all regions and some selected sites (Hospitals and isolation centers) in the country whiles generating Covid-19 reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis from the TCMS for all stakeholder resulting in availability and visibility of data for decision making

  • Contributed significantly to the redesign of the tools, collection, and analysis of data for the logistics supportive supervision exercise providing support and on-the-job training on logistics management to 1400 facilities from 2013 to 2015
  • This resulted in the improvement of logistics management indicators in these facilities
  • Played a lead role in the team that collected data and planned the redistribution of commodities among the various regional medical stores after the fire incident at the central medical stores
  • This averted any potential stock out of commodities whiles preparations were made for the procurement of more commodities
  • Contributed to the development of the training curriculum and the SOP for logistics and trained both central and regional level supervisors
  • Provided support to the project Monitoring and evaluation team in the implementation of the projects End Use Verification (EUV) exercise by developing the tool and training data collectors on the use of the mobile app used in collecting the data and collected and analyzed program stock status data from RMSs on quarterly basis leading to the completion of the Project’s monthly and quarterly reports
  • Played a significant role in the development of tools and participating in the evaluation of teaching and learning of supply chain management by the nurses and midwifery training institutions in the country
  • This was to ensure that all identified challenges with the teaching and learning of the course were addressed.
