NATIONAL SERVICE

Rotation Nurse, University Hospital −Legon, (February, 2021 – June, 2022).

Was involved in the nursing management of patients with various condition in the emergency ward, out patients department, medical and surgical wards, pediatrics unit, Obstetrics and gynecological ward, intensive care unit, Public health unit, theatre as well other special clinics (eye clinic, ear, nose and throat clinic ,dialysis, diabetic clinic), Antenatal/Postnatal Unit and the Reproductive and Child Health unit.

Assisted clients in meeting basic health needs.

Assisted medical officers to carry out procedures on clients.

Administered medications to patients.

Writing of nurses note and other documentation activities.

Handling of emergency and critical cases.

Volunteerism Activities and Community Service

• Team Supervisor, National Polio Immunization Programmer(10th – 13th September 2020 and 8th – 11thOctober)• Scope Of Work; Supervised a team of three during the three day event to immunize children 0 – 59 months against the circulating vaccine – derived polio virus type 2 in the Ayawaso west district.• Volunteer, Foot Works International and Dynamic Vessels International (December, 2020)• Scope Of Work; Participated in giving free medical screening, free food and clothing’s to the needy at a Haatso Community.
