OAK PLAZA HOTEL
  • I rotated in the Housekeeping, Food and beverage and the front office departments
  • I assisted the house keepers to clean rooms, fixtures on the corridor of the hotel and attended to guests who needed sanitary items at the housekeeping department
  • I started my work at the food and beverage department from the restaurant where I received calls and greeted guests at the door every morning during our breakfast buffet
  • I also polished cutlery and serving ware before every meal
  • The kitchen was my next station in the department where I took stock and cleaned the fridges and counters every morning and also did mise en place for the chefs and cooks to prepare meals for our guests
  • I ended my internship at the Front office department as a receptionist where I received both internal and external calls and attended to walk in guests
  • We hosted a local concert with a popular artist on my final day of internship

GHANA TOURISM AUTHORITY
  • This also involved rotational duties which started from the Monitoring and evaluation department where entry on listed hospitality and tourism organizations in Ghana are done
  • Data entry was the main task I did in this department
  • The Administrative department was next
  • I received and recorded every letter coming in and leaving the company
  • I also assisted some staff with write ups and entry of data when needed
  • Distribution of some items and letters to other departments was done by me
  • PDI was the third department I went to
  • It was mostly quality assurance centered
  • Our job was to go around and do the right investigation to be sure that these service organizations were practicing the right standards
  • I worked with the Head of department sometimes
  • I wrote and edited most of his speeches for him
  • The Human Resource Department was my final department
  • I received and recorded letters too, made sure documents were printed for a recruitment process or a training programme for staff of the department
  • I also assisted with leave document processing and payment related processes

INPONTU TECHNOLOGIES
  • This was a remote internship, I worked with the marketing department
  • We started with studying about Inpontu and subsequently did research about other companies who offer similar services
  • This research led to suggestions of how some of the products, especially Dewuro could be used by universities in Ghana

Mass Choir President

  • My task as president was to coordinate all choirs on campus under the Student Chaplaincy Council
  • I worked with a number of executives
  • My duty was to make sure the choir was always present for all services and ministrations
  • I attended council meetings to discuss how the church on campus could be made better and how our services would run smoothly
  • I initiated an outreach to a neighboring town during my time
  • I had a significant turn out for rehearsals and ministrations due to our frequent visitations to the choirs during their individual services
  • I worked with the University's Deputy Relations Officer for the choir's performance during major programs of the University
  • I made sure the database of the choirs was updated and attendance for each meeting was taken

PENSA KNUST Treasurer

  • This voluntary work was money related
  • My job was to assist my financial secretary in collecting, counting, recounting, recording and depositing cash from church twice every week after church services
  • I assisted in securing items like envelopes, water, hand sanitizers, baskets and more for the smooth running of the church

House Help and Nanny

  • My duties were to clean the house, attend to the kids by feeding them, cleaning and getting them ready for school, cooking sometimes, running errands to the market
