My name is Casey Gyau. I am a 23-year-old, 3rd. year law student at Lancaster University Ghana with a 1st class equivalent in the LLB Hons. program. In addition, I am the 2022/23 Student Representative Council President at Lancaster University Ghana, as well as a four-time recipient of the Lancaster University Provost List Award. I further hold a Common Purpose FLE Certificate for completing their leadership program with institutions including JP Morgan Chase & Co., in addition I hold a Legal Ethics Training certificate issued by the African Center on Law & Ethics who runs its annual program in conjunction with White & Case LLP. I am further an award-winning mooter in 2023 Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, winning the “Spirit of the Jessup Award” for outstanding individual mooting skills, and “Best New Team” for Lancaster University in the competition as a collective. I also wrote a part of and contributed to a legal codex in production with Victor Brobbey and Benchmark Lawyer LLC, Head of department at Lancaster University and, under the commission of the president of the Republic, the Deputy Chair of the National Commission for Civic Education. The goal of this codex is to attach locus classicus case law and an adjunct analysis to all 399 Constitutional provisions. Lastly, I made the list of the Top 100 Law Students in the Republic of Ghana per the Federation of African Law Students (FALAS). I have written an informal amicus curia, and I write Shakespearean literature and prose in my spare time
TECHNICAL SKILLS: In my foundation program at Lancaster University I engaged in Project Management, Digital Information Skills, Critical Thinking, and Business Management. As such I have integrated Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management, and deductive reasoning. Furthermore, I am a high-end law student and a master of the English language. As such, I am an excellent viva-voce advocate, in addition to writing legal documents of the top tier from all mu undergraduate law lectures and competitions I’ve engaged in. In addition, being the chief executive of the student government in such a noble institution taught me a number of indispensable and intangible skills. Due to the aforementioned paths I charted in my student life I have a smorgasbord of skills that are usable, indispensable, and profitable to any institution that would have me.
