• KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
• Lead role, completed the review of the Forestry Commission’s (FC) Accounting and Financial Administration Manual in 2021 (Committee approved by the Chief Executive)
• Lead role, completed training on SUN6 and the full migration of all Divisions and Units of the FC unto the SUN6 system in 2019
• Lead role, an FC committee to review the FC’s Chart of Accounts for the GIFMIS roll out and the SUN6 migration
• Lead role, an FC team that assisted the GIFMIS team that attempted to roll FC unto the platform and to interface part of the SUN6 modules with the GIFMIS systems.
• Part of a team that reviewed the Financial Manual of the Sustainable Land and Water Management Project (Exercise lead by MESTI).
• Initiated series of efforts to get the Commission’s District and Regional stand-alone systems networked using Virtual Private Network (VPN).
• Initiated moves to get the Commissioner General of the Ghana Revenue Authority to make a Private Ruling on a controversial Withholding Tax on Allowances to staff reduced from 20% to 15% in 2017.
• Lead role, a Team from Forestry Commission that worked with the GIFMIS secretariat on the Sun Accounting and GIFMIS Revenue Model interface
• Lead role, a Team working out the interface of the Sun Accounting software and the Ghana Wood Tracking System which is now successfully being used
• Part of a Team of Three (3) that worked on and set up the Chart of Accounts and the accounting system for an USD8.75 million Sustainable Land and Water Management Project (SLWMP) Funded by the World Bank and currently running in the Upper West, East Regions and the Project office in Accra
• Part of a Team that worked on the accounting structure (for the Forestry Commission to account for the USD29.5 million Ghana Forest Investment Project (GFIP) funded by both the AfDB and World Bank.
• Designed and implemented a Financial Accounting system for the Baptist Schools in Takoradi
