Registered Nurse
- Utilizes the nursing care process to assess, plan and evaluate patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Pre and post-surgical nursing care
- Maintaining accurate fluid intake and output chart
- Administration of intranasal oxygen
- Monitoring patients' conditions including taking temperatures, pulse, respiration, weight and blood pressure
- Administration of prescribed medications
- Promoting overall positive mental and physical health with patients through exercise and activities
- Serving meals and helping to feed patients
- Helping to keep patients clean and hygienic, for example helping them wash themselves and emptying bedpans
- Have basic intravenous cannulation skills for pediatric and adult patients
- Aseptic wound management and dressing
- Care for patients on NGT and urethral catheter, also have practical knowledge on the use of infusion pump
- Report writing and accurate record keeping
- Improving mobility of patients, including helping them to move around their rooms or going for walks in the garden
- Chatting and listening to our patients, making them feel at ease
- Provide leadership for junior staffs and ward assistants
- Ensuring patient rooms and communal areas are kept clean and tidy, including making bed and changing bedlinens
- Providing pressure area care for patients.
