Research project: Characterization and pharmaceutical evaluation of Daucus carota (carrot) pectin as a suspending agent in oral dosage forms
Research contributor and co-author. Contributed to pectin extraction, preparation of oral paracetamol suspensions, quality-control testing, experimental-data analysis and interpretation, and critical review of the manuscript.
• Participated in extracting carrot pectin using an acid-extraction procedure for evaluation as a pharmaceutical suspending agent.
• Prepared oral paracetamol suspensions containing 1% and 2% carrot pectin, with acacia gum used as a comparator.
• Performed quality-control assessments of formulated suspensions, including evaluation of suspension properties and stability over the study period.
• Contributed to analysis and interpretation of experimental findings comparing carrot pectin with acacia gum.
