Summary

Akwasi Akomeah Agyekum (Ph.D) has more than 15 years of working experience in the food industry, regulatory and research, with interest in chemical food safety, food quality, chemical risk assessment, HACCP, ISO 9001, 22000, 14000 management systems. His research interest includes food science and technology, food fraud, chemical food safety, analytical chemistry, biosensors for sensing contaminants and adulterants in food, chemometrics, nanosensors for food, pharmaceutical and medical applications, data fusion strategies for integrating multiple non-destructive spectral sensors for food authenticity, traceability and integrity application, food processing and preservation and phytochemical and nutritional profile of under-utilized and neglected tropical fruit and vegetables. Dr. Agyekum lectures at the School of Public Health, Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration.
