MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

  • I believe that teaching is a collaborative and creative process that involves both the teacher and the learners. I view my role as a teacher as a facilitator, a mentor, and a co-learner. I aim to create a supportive and stimulating learning environment that fosters curiosity, inquiry, and critical thinking. I value diversity, inclusion, and equity in my classroom, and I strive to respect and appreciate the different backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences of my learners. I also encourage them to do the same with their peers and with the world around them.
  • My teaching goals are to help my learners develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that they need to succeed in their academic, personal, and professional lives in the near future. I use a variety of teaching methods and strategies to meet the diverse needs and interests of my learners, such as lectures, discussions, demonstrations, simulations, case studies, group work, projects, and assessments. I also incorporate technology, multimedia, and online resources to enhance the learning experience and to connect the course content to real-world issues and applications. I constantly seek feedback from my learners and from my colleagues to improve my teaching and to adapt to the changing demands of the discipline and the society.
  • I am passionate about teaching and learning, and I consider myself a lifelong learner. I continually update my knowledge and skills in my field, and I also explore new topics and disciplines that interest me. I participate in professional development activities, such as workshops, conferences, webinars, and online courses, to learn from other educators and to share my ideas and experiences with them. I also engage in scholarly activities, such as research and presentations to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and to the improvement of education. I believe that teaching and scholarship are interrelated and mutually beneficial, and I seek to integrate them in my practice.
