Abena Soreno Yankyera

Abena Soreno Yankyera is an accomplished Broadcast Journalist, Radio Host, all-around Media Personality and Storyteller based in Ghana. She plays a pivotal role at the Startup Discovery School, a venture firm empowering Africa's Climate Startup as their lead Communications Strategist. Abena is a passionate advocate for young women's empowerment, with a focus on sanitation and period poverty in Ghana. As the founder of the NGO Goals for Flow, she promotes menstrual health and hygiene across the country. Her interest in storytelling led her to establish Now on Africa, a dynamic media platform dedicated to sharing authentic African stories and news.
Abena has been recognized for her dedication and excellence, earning eight nominations in Ghana's media industry. She currently holds the title of Female Radio Personality of the Year.

Founded Goals for Flow, a non-profit dedicated to ending period poverty and empowering women and girls. Led campaigns to distribute menstrual supplies to underserved communities, directly impacting over 1000 individuals and promoting menstrual health awareness.
