Abena Adubea Amoah

Summary

I am a professional development management expert with over two decades of practical experience working at international and local levels and in diverse sectors, including but not limited to education and youth economic empowerment, adolescent sexual and reproductive health, maternal and child health, youth development, employment, health, gender, economic empowerment, and skills training, volunteer programmes, partnerships, child marriage and sexual and gender-based violence. For the past 15 years, I have demonstrated the capacity to understand and work with diverse donors and development partners while ensuring compliance with different strategic frameworks and systems. Some of these donors and development partners include International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), World Health Organization (WHO), West Africa Health Organization (WAHO), Global Affairs Canada (GAC), UNFPA, JOICFP - Japan, Swedish International Development Agenda through RFSU, OXFAM Ghana, Danish Family Planning Association, Hewlett Foundation, etc. Over the period, I have gained enormous multi-cultural and multi country experience working with colleagues in other country offices, and IPPF member Associations in Africa and beyond on numerous projects and activities. These countries include Netherlands, Norway, Uganda, Kenya, Malawi, Botswana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Ethiopia among others. I also enabled the sharing of lessons, programme models, good practices, etc., within regions and wider organization for organizational learning by hosting numerous global and regional learning forums in Ghana involving over 30 members associations or countries of IPPF African regional involving but not limited to the following countries; Tanzania, Botswana, Uganda, Malawi, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Mali, Cameroun, Lesotho, Namibia, Zambia, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Togo, etc. With the ability to craft and lead partnership engagements involving multi stakeholders, I have successful led policy influencing and advocacy activities that has yielded positive result. Expertise in engaging diverse donors and partners and to raise funds to prosecute organisational goals.
