• Creation of monthly plans, including ore treatment forecasts.
• Subscribe to and support the safety, health and environmental programmes.
• Guiding and advising mining operations on best mining and dumping practice
• Monitoring pits, waste dumps and stockpiles to ensure that they are built to design
• Weekly mining production planning and scheduling
• Preparing daily mine plans for mine operations
• Reconcile plans to practical considerations and re-calibration where necessary.

• Coordinate with the Drill and Blast General Foreman to ensure maximum utilization of production drilling equipment as it relates to Production and Geotechnical Wall Control blasting.
• Ensure fragmentation of blast optimizes downstream processes, eg mill throughput and productivity of diggers
• Conduct drilling and blasting support trials and making recommendations on their performance.
• Preparing blast tie up plans using Shot Plus and BlastIQ
• Estimating mine bench blasted muck inventory

• Dispatch fleets and optimize equipment utilization and usage for peak performance in mining operations
• Coordinate personnel and equipment for optimal production in accordance with mine plan priorities
• Provide assignment to mine supervision
• Keep real-time information on equipment.
• Update mining data in terms dump s and stockpiles
• Liaise with radio maintenance and IT for airwave and network management system

• Responsible for the establishment and maintenance of procedures for all Survey tasks.
• Training and development of all Junior Surveyors.
• Provide administration for the Survey Section of the Mine Engineering Department: performance evaluation and career planning (PMT, JS Assessments, promotions) training, rosters, holiday schedules, etc.
• Provide daily coordination and prioritization of the work for Survey crews to ensure the best utilization of resources to complete the required work requests.
• Set up procedures for field-work, data collection, data manipulation and data storage.
• Responsible for updating dumps and stockpiles in MineSight.
• Assist in design and implementation of mine engineering plans for pit development.
• Utilize, Arc GIS, Minesight and CAD drafting software to develop and produce maps.
• Provide training in all facets of surveying field techniques, software usage and data storage.
• Carry out QA/QC on field surveys, data manipulation and survey databases.
• Maintain good communications with all Departments and sections that are integral to the successful completion of survey duties and functions.
